The Kröller-Müller Museum wants to foster national and international engagement in the visual arts and for this purpose houses and preserves a collection of modern and contemporary art which is of international importance. The Kröller-Müller museum aims to achieve the optimal and highest quality level in performing its duties as a museum: it is a customer-oriented and businesslike institution and has a keen eye for current social developments.

The museum sees as its task to nurture and preserve the museum collection for later generations as well as to make it grow. “We are convinced that the Kröller-Müller Museum, which is located in the National Park De Hoge Veluwe (NPHV), is unique; in fact, it is so special that we believe that every Dutchman should visit the museum at least once in his or her lifetime. We see it as our responsibility to ensure that each visitor has a wonderful experience and we seek to engage the public as much as possible in the museum and its activities
