How does a Van Gogh sound? Or a Basquiat? The national music competition Art Rocks challenges you to write a song inspired by a work of art from the collection of various museums. Art Rocks is organizing a songwriting masterclass with Blaudzun at the Kröller-Müller Museum to help you.
Standing face to face with a work of art; what does that do to you? What sound do you hear? And how do you translate that into lyrics? Blaudzun offers you tips and tricks! In this masterclass you visit the museum together with Blaudzun and get to work on your musical inspiration. At the end of the afternoon you return home with handy tips and tricks that help you finish a song that’s inspired by a work of art.
You begin the masterclass with a tour of the artworks that you can choose from. After the tour Blaudzun tells you how he arrived at his song and how the songwriting process went. Then you start working on your track together.
Location: Kröller-Müller Museum
