The Kröller-Müller Museum is delighted to welcome you! In the heart of De Hoge Veluwe National Park, you can enjoy a whole day of art, nature and architecture. Below you will find tips on how to spend your day and we have compiled the most important practical information for you.
The museum is located in the heart of De Hoge Veluwe National Park. The moment you enter the national park, life takes on a different pace. Take time for nature and hop on a free White Bicycle or take a walk. Getting away from all the stress will then create space in your head to enjoy the art at the museum even more. A visit to the museum and park requires more time than you might expect. For the museum and sculpture garden, you will need at least 3 hours. Want to relax in between? Enjoy the peace in the sculpture garden or join one of the activities in De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Bring your picnic blanket for a break and lunch in between activities. This will make your visit a complete day out!

You are very welcome to visit our museum restaurant. In the restaurant you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a sandwich, soup or salad. You order at the counter and take your order to a table with a view of the surrounding greenery. The restaurant in the sculpture garden is open from 1 April to 1 November. Here you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee overlooking the Rietveld Pavilion.
Buy a museum ticket online, even if you visit the museum with a Museum Pass or other discount card. This allows you to go straight to the ticket control in the museum without having to visit the ticket office first. Your ticket remains valid all day.
The museum is located in the middle of the De Hoge Veluwe National Park. To get to the museum, you will therefore also need a ticket for the park. The Museum Pass and the VriendenLoterij VIP card are valid in the museum, but not in the park. Convenient: with an online ticket, you have priority at the entrance to the park on busy days. If you wish to enter the park by car, then don't forget to buy a ticket for your car as well.
The museum is easily accessible by car and public transport. The park has three entrances: Otterlo, Hoenderloo and Schaarsbergen.
From 1 to 27 April, there will be limited access at the the Otterlo entrance of De Hoge Veluwe National Park. You can follow the recommended route indicated on the diversion signs. From 28 April to 25 May, the Otterlo entrance will be closed to all traffic. During this period, you can use the entrances in Hoenderloo and Schaarsbergen. The (motor)way from the Otterlo entrance to the intersection with the Wildbaanweg near the Kröller-Müller Museum will also be closed. During this period, the walking routes Trekvogelpad Hoenderloo – Otterlo and Veluwe Zwerfpad Otterlo – Schaarsbergen cannot be used. A temporary timetable will apply to the 106 line, more information will follow later.
On weekdays, there are usually fewer visitors in the museum after 14.00 hrs. Begin your visit in the sculpture garden for a peaceful start to your day.
The museum is easily accessible by wheelchair or mobility scooter. There are also wheelchairs and walkers for loan. You can also pick up large-print texts and a ‘museum pictocard’ at the entrance.
You can leave large bags and belongings in the cloakroom or use a locker. Backpacks can be handed in or carried on your stomach.

Look Out Attention is currently closed. The artwork can still be viewed, but cannot be climbed.
Jean Dubuffet's Jardin d'émail is accessible from 1 April to 1 November, but only if the surface of the work is completely dry. The work is closed for maintenance every last Monday of the month. During or shortly after rainfall, the work is also inaccessible due to the risk of slipperiness.

Terrace of a Café at Night (Place du Forum) by Vincent van Gogh will be absent from the Kröller-Müller Museum for one year as of 1 September 2025. The reason is that the painting is on loan for a major Van Gogh exhibition in Japan. Want to know which works will be on display? Check our collection search feature.
Mobile Home for Kröller-Müller is to receive conservation treatment. From April 14, the work will not be on display for several months.
