The Kröller-Müller Museum has the status of cultural ANBI organization. Donating to organizations with an ANBI status offers tax advantages.

The Kröller-Müller Museum is registered as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) at the Dutch Tax Administration. This means that the museum is not required to pay inheritance tax or death duty on inheritances and donations. Every euro donated will be entirely devoted to the museum. Furthermore, donating to organizations with an ANBI status has certain tax advantages.

Objective of the organization, as described in the statutes:

1. The objective of the foundation is to programme, maintain and exploit the Kröller-Müller Museum.
2. The Kröller-Müller Museum is a non-profit, permanent institution, in the service of society and its development, open to the public, which acquires, conserves, researches and exhibits the tangible heritage of humanity and its environment for purposes of study, education and enjoyment.
The foundation endeavours to further its objective through:
a. the accumulation, receiving on loan, preservation and enhancement of collections in the field of visual art, and in particular of:
-the collection of Mr and Mrs Kröller-Müller
-international sculpture of the nineteenth and twentieth century and
-international contemporary art
b. the exhibition of parts of the collection in mutual coherence
c. the documentation and scientific research of this collection and publication on this collection
d. taking all steps that are or might be necessary, useful and/or helpful in realizing the objective of the foundation.
4. The foundation is also expected to work in the spirit of its founders and the objective that they envisaged: the creation and maintenance of a monument, which gives a picture of the spirit of the current age, thus for the instruction and enjoyment of society.
5. To achieve its objective, the foundation may enter into relationships with organizations in the Netherlands and abroad that pursue a similar or related objective.
6. The foundation is non-profit.

Remuneration policy management

The supervisory board determines the salary and further working conditions of the director/administrator. The director/administrator receives a salary, which is specifically stated in the management report, in compliance with the Disclosure Act for Publically Financed Top Salaries (WOPT).

The members of the supervisory board receive no payment for their work. They are entitled to compensation for costs incurred in the performance of their function (attendance fee).

Remuneration policy personnel

The salary of employees of the Kröller-Müller Museum is in accordance with the wage scales of the CAO Verzelfstandigde Rijksmusea (Collective Wage Agreement for Autonomous State Museums). On 1 October 2013, the employers and unions agreed a new CAO for Autonomous State Museums, which includes the Kröller-Müller Museum. The current CAO VRM is extended from 1 April 2013 to 1 April 2015.
