Vincent & Helene

Exhibition

With the exhibition Vincent & Helene, the Kröller-Müller Museum celebrates 150 years since the birth of Vincent van Gogh. ‘We chose to highlight Helene’s love for the work of Van Gogh’, says Van Straaten. ‘It is still difficult to comprehend that someone who had only been familiar with art for a short time, and was so fascinated by developments in her own time and the time immediately preceding it, acquired eighty paintings by Vincent van Gogh between 1908 and 1920.’
