Duo Nim makes hidden beauty visible and audible in an original programme featuring new work by composer Aya Yoshida. The poem ‘In Praise of Shadows’ by Japanese writer Tanizaki is the inspiration for the composition. During the concert, there will be a live performance of Japanese flower arranging (ikebana). The writing, music and floral art are about contrasts and harmony, shadows and light.
Duo Nim
The performance is a playful combination of Dutch and Japanese visions of beauty. Aina Font (saxophone), Manon Leroux (cello) and ikebanist Uno Fujisawa take you through the interplay between art and sound.
Praktical information
The concert is free for everyone with a valid entrance ticket for the park and museum. Registration is not required. The concert will take place outdoors at the Rietveld Pavilion. In case of bad weather, the concert will be moved indoors.
NJO Muziekzomer
