Why do I have to pay separately for De Hoge Veluwe National Park?
The museum is located in De Hoge Veluwe National Park for a reason. Helene Kröller-Müller, the museum's founder, believed that it is better to concentrate on art in the peace and quiet of nature, rather than in the hustle and bustle of the city. The journey through De Hoge Veluwe National Park, whether by car, on foot or by White Bicycle, is therefore part of your visit to the museum. However, the museum and park have been two separate organisations since their inception. The park is an independent foundation and depends almost entirely on income from entrance fees. By paying entrance fees, you contribute to the preservation of the historic Veluwe landscapes and to safeguarding a unique biodiversity.
